Reproductive scientists from Belgium and the Netherlands are invited to join the VFS meeting (Vereniging voor FertiliteitStudie), which will take place on Friday, March 13, 2026, at the Textielmuseum, Tilburg, the Netherlands. This will be the first VFS meeting since 2020, and we hope that we can revive these gatherings of reproductive scientists from Belgium and the Netherlands.
The main theme of the program will be: “Reproductive Rhythms: Hormones in Action across Species” and the keynote lecture will be held by rector Petra De Sutter (Ugent) on “Ethics and Human Rights in Reproduction”.
Details on the Caput Selectum and other senior researcher presentations can be found in the programme in attachment. This meeting also provides a platform for early stage researchers, working in human and veterinary reproduction, to present their work and to discuss with other junior and senior researchers.
We invite all early stage researchers (PhD students and postdocs) to submit an abstract to the chair of the VFS, Bernard Roelen via email :b.a.j.roelen@uu.nl (deadline February 15th, 2026). The template of the abstract is also attached to this email.
Eight abstracts will be selected for oral presentations (12 minutes each). You will be informed on your selection by 1st of March, 2026. Selected abstracts will need to present their data in a powerpoint presentation, as scheduled in the programme.
A prize will be awarded to the best oral presentation during the closing ceremony.
The participation fee is €50 per person, to be paid at the account held by BAJ Roelen
